Health & Resource Fair at DesPlaines Frisbie Senior Center
Visit me at the DesPlaines Frisbie Senior Center for their annual Annual Health, Housing and Resource Fair October 12, 2016.
I love to attend senior fairs. It's such a highlight of my position here at Partners in Senior Care. I love to talk about how home care can help seniors remain as independent as possible for as long as possible at home. Everyone wants to age at home. Partners in Senior Care can help, after all, it’s our family taking care of your family. Sometimes seniors believe that if they rely on a caregiver for assistance, they will lose their independence. Nothing can be further from the truth. A caregiver can help prevent the crisis that may send a senior to the hospital or emergency room.
Look for my resource table. I will have lots of information on hand to help seniors make informed decisions about home care. Assistance with dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders or just caring companionship – as few as four hours a day - will help seniors stay healthy and engaged at home. We can even help when a senior has been discharged home after surgery.
I will also have information about exercising for seniors. It’s true what they say, use it or lose it. However, the great news is that even if you have lost it, you can get it right back! It’s never too late for a senior to being an exercise program for healthy aging. Stop by my table and learn how our caregivers encourage seniors to keep moving and eat healthy.
If you can not stop by the senior resource fair in DesPlaines to learn how a caregiver could benefit yourself or a senior in your life, you can always give me a call at 847-548-1330. We consider it a privilege to assist you in finding solutions that are as unique as your loved one.
